Ian Dylan is a virtuosic and uniquely musical presence on the jazz scene, having avidly studied Drum-set for numerous years with instructors such as: Lenny Robinson, Chuck Redd, Alan Dale, among others. His varied skill set has enabled him to work in a wide array of venues, and with groups lead by musicians: Pianist-Peter Edelman, Bassist-Butch Warren, and Vocalist-Michael Nicholas.
Ian's musicianship has been heralded by renowned musical legends such as, Antonio Parker, Cora Coleman, and Steve Novosel. His fans range from everyday working-class professionals to heads-of-state.
Ian's formula is simple: "My strength is learning from the successes and mistakes of past masters, rather than inventing a completely new way of playing."
In terms of Jazz, Art Blakey and Louie Bellson were his first major influences. Others include, Buddy Rich, Jimmy Cobb and Winard Harper.
